The brief
The objective was to create a modern, high-performing website that reflected the new Central Power Services brand while providing a strong foundation for continued growth across its services and target locations throughout the UK.
Following an extensive rebranding process under CEO Paul Dove, Central Power Services appointed MALO Creative Media to take the new brand online.
Working with the supplied brand guidelines, our brief was to design and develop a modern, fully responsive website that clearly presented the company's services and made it easier for potential customers to find the information they needed.
SEO was an important part of the project from the outset. Rather than simply launching a new website and optimising it afterwards, the structure, content and individual service pages were developed with organic search performance in mind.
Alongside the website redevelopment, MALO was appointed to provide ongoing monthly SEO, allowing the site to continue expanding into new services, sectors and geographical areas.
The solution
The new Central Power Services website was designed and developed around its five core areas:
- Generator hire
- Service and maintenance
- Fuel management
- Generator sales and projects
- Replacement parts
Each service was given its own dedicated section, allowing us to target relevant searches while providing visitors with clear information about the support available.
To increase geographical reach, we also developed dedicated location content targeting important commercial and industrial areas throughout the UK. This initially included Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and Sheffield, with the campaign continuing to expand into additional cities and towns.
Rather than creating generic location pages, the content is developed around the individual services Central Power Services provides, allowing us to target searches such as generator hire, generator servicing, generator sales and replacement parts within specific locations.
The ongoing campaign also includes regular content development, technical improvements, internal linking and relevant external content to continue strengthening the website's authority and search visibility.
Q1 results
Following the launch of the new website and the continued SEO work, Central Power Services recorded significant growth across the key website performance indicators during Q1:
- Active users increased by 43.3%
- Sessions increased by 48.3%
- Overall views increased by 49.6%
- Event activity increased by 44.0%
The figures showed that the improvement wasn't limited to increased traffic. More people were finding Central Power Services through search and those visitors were engaging with more of the website once they arrived.
Strong search visibility
One of the main objectives of the campaign was to increase visibility for commercially relevant searches rather than simply generating more website traffic.
The website has achieved first-page visibility across a growing number of service and location searches, including terms targeting generator hire, generator sales, servicing and replacement parts.
Searches such as Generator Hire in Manchester, Generator Sales in Birmingham, Generator Servicing in Leeds and Generator Replacement Parts in Sheffield have all achieved page-one positions.
This has given Central Power Services a much stronger organic presence across several of its key markets while creating a structure that can continue to grow as new locations and services are targeted.
Ongoing SEO and development
The project didn't end when the new website went live.
MALO Creative Media continues to work with Central Power Services each month, developing new location pages, strengthening existing service content, publishing relevant articles and monitoring search performance.
As new opportunities are identified, additional areas are introduced into the campaign while existing pages are reviewed and developed to maintain and improve their positions.
The result is a website that continues to evolve alongside the business rather than remaining unchanged after launch.
Conclusion
The Central Power Services project demonstrates the difference between simply building a new website and creating one as part of a longer-term SEO campaign.
By combining the new brand with a carefully structured website, targeted content and ongoing optimisation, Central Power Services has increased website traffic, improved engagement and established strong search visibility across multiple services and locations.
The campaign continues to expand, providing an increasingly strong organic search presence for the business throughout the UK.
